Già
frazione di Moltalbano Jonico, è da poco Comune autonomo.
Per effetto della Riforma Fondiaria del 1950 da latifondo boschivo e
paludoso, quasi una steppa incoltivabile, si presenta oggi come una
regione californiana, ricca di vegetazioni e di colture agrarie.
Scanzano è il nome della vecchia contrada rurale assunto poi come
nome del paese. |

Is
is not long ago that Scanzano, previously an outlying ward of
Montalbano Jonico, has become an indipendent commune. Before the
introduction of the Land Reform of 1950, Scanzano was a woodland and
swampy area resembling untillable steppes. Nowadays, thanks to the
Land Reform of 1950, the ara surrounding Scanzano is similar to the
California, with its lush vegetation and many kinds of cultivations.
Scanzano was the name of the ancient rural territory, that become
the name of the village. |

hameau appartenat a Montalbano Jonico, Scanzano est devenue une
municipacilite autonome depuis peu de temps.
Grace a la Reforme fonciere de 1950, cette localite aux terrains
boises et marecageux, qui avait l'aspect d'une steppe qui ne pouvait
pas etre cultivee, est devenue une region de type californien riche
en vegetation et en cultures agricoles.
Le nom Scanzano etait le nom de la vieille contree rurale, ensuite
devenu le nom du village. |

Fraktion von Montalbano Jonico, ist es seit kurzem eine selbstandige
Gemeinde.
Aufgrund der Bodenreform von 1950 wurde aus waldigem und sumpfigem
GroBgrundbesitz, einer fast nicht zu bepflanzenden Steppe, eine Art
kalifornische Region, reich an Vegetation und landwirtschaftlicher
Bepflanzung.
Scanzano, Name des alten landlichen Stadtviertels, das heute in das
Dorf eingemeindet wurde. |
